1. The Zero-Knowledge Privacy & Responsibility Principle
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") defines the mandatory rules and operational boundaries governing the use of encbyt.in and all associated infrastructure operated by Encbyt Technologies ("Encbyt", "we", "us", or "our"). This policy supplements our Terms of Service and applies to every account holder, user, and public visitor.
Encbyt is built on client-side mathematical isolation. We do not inspect your files, we do not index your directories, and we do not monitor your private storage activity.
Because we cannot inspect encrypted stored blocks, our enforcement mechanisms focus strictly on verifiable endpoints, network traffic behavior, public link activity, and verified statutory abuse reports.
2. Strictly Prohibited Activities
You agree that you will not use Encbyt infrastructure, network pathways, or public sharing features to store, distribute, facilitate, or transmit any of the following:
A. Malicious Software & Cyber Warfare Payloads
- Computer viruses, worms, Trojan horses, rootkits, spyware, keystroke loggers, or unauthorized monitoring tools.
- Ransomware payloads, cryptojacking scripts, or wiper malware.
- Command-and-control (C2) server assets, botnet coordination nodes, or exploit frameworks.
- Staging archives for phishing campaigns, credential harvesting, or identity theft operations.
B. Severe Statutory & Exploitative Content (Zero Tolerance)
- Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM), child sexual exploitation and abuse imagery, or non-consensual sexually explicit media.
- Terrorist propaganda, violent extremist recruitment materials, or media inciting imminent physical violence or bodily harm.
- Human trafficking, illegal firearms distribution, or illicit controlled substance trafficking records.
C. Intellectual Property & Commercial Infringement
- Storing or publicly distributing pirated software, cracked license generators, or unauthorized proprietary trade secrets.
- Operating public distribution hubs for copyright-infringing commercial movies, music, publications, or proprietary software.
- Distributing materials that violate valid patents, trademarks, or non-disclosure covenants.
D. Financial Fraud & Deceptive Practices
- Ponzi schemes, pyramid networks, advance-fee fraud, or fraudulent banking portals.
- Distributing forged identification documents, counterfeit financial records, or stolen credit card dumps.
3. Infrastructure Integrity & Anti-Abuse Controls
Encbyt enforces strict controls to ensure platform durability and prevent degradation of service for other users:
- No Automated Resource Flooding: You may not deploy automated bots, high-frequency crawlers, or unauthorized scripts to flood upload endpoints, create thousands of orphaned sessions, or intentionally exhaust bandwidth quotas.
- No Circumvention of File Limits: The web interface natively enforces a 5 GB single-file upload limit to maintain browser stability during local AES-256-GCM encryption. Bypassing client-side memory safety boundaries via automated scripts, payload injection, or API spoofing is strictly prohibited.
- No Abuse of State Preservation Endpoints: The Pause & Resume feature provides client-side state tracking. Opening thousands of abandoned, suspended upload sessions designed to hold open server connection tables constitutes infrastructure abuse.
- No Security Probing or Network Attacks: You are strictly prohibited from conducting unauthorized penetration tests, port scanning, denial-of-service (DoS/DDoS) attacks, or attempting to compromise authentication tokens.
5. Monitoring, Reporting & Enforcement Procedures
How We Enforce Compliance in a Zero-Knowledge System
Because Encbyt cannot read the contents of your vault, enforcement occurs through:
- Verifiable Abuse Reports: Valid notices submitted by cybersecurity teams, statutory authorities, or copyright holders containing direct, publicly accessible share URLs.
- Network Anomalies: Automated firewall detection of volumetric DDoS attacks, brute-force login attempts, or script-based API flooding.
- Third-Party Payment Alerts: Chargeback fraud, stolen payment credentials, or payment processor sanctions.
Penalties for Violations
Encbyt reserves the right to take any of the following actions upon identifying an AUP violation:
- Immediate revocation of specific public share links.
- Temporary suspension of account upload privileges.
- Permanent account termination and immediate forfeiture of all subscription fees.
- Cryptographic and physical sanitization of associated storage blocks (forfeiting the standard 90-day dormant preservation window).
- Referral to relevant statutory or judicial authorities where mandated by law.
6. Responsible Abuse Reporting & Takedown Protocol
If you discover a public Encbyt share link distributing malware, infringing copyrighted works, or hosting unlawful content, please submit a formal report to our abuse desk:
Designated Abuse Desk: [email protected]
Response Commitment: Investigated and acted upon within 24 to 48 business hours.
Required Information in Abuse Notice:
- The exact Encbyt public URL (including the link identifier).
- A clear description of the nature of the violation (malware, phishing, copyright, CSAM, etc.).
- Verifiable proof of rights ownership (for copyright/trademark claims) or technical payload evidence (for malware/security reports).
- Your verified legal identity and contact details.
